Welcome to Myrtlewood Cottage!

Myrtlewood Cottage is located 0.3 miles from the stadium (8 minutes walking)! This adorable home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 6 adults plus children! The home is decorated with Alabama Football flair and is the perfect location for a game day weekend stay! Right when you walk in there is a small eating table that overlooks the living area. As you go further into the home you will see a large red couch in front of the TV, where you can comfortably watch Alabama football! Right behind this couch there is a fireplace and another couch you can sit on and enjoy the fire! The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils and appliances you will need to create the perfect meal or game day treats! After crafting a delicious meal everyone can sit along the dining table and enjoy! There is a pool room in the house for everyone's entertainment!

The first bedroom has a King bed and attached bathroom that has a tub-shower. The other 2 bedrooms each have a Queen bed. The second bathroom is down the hall and has a walk-in shower. There are two Twin optional rollaway beds that can be added on.

Outside there is a covered patio with lots of comfortable seating and a TV! There is also a fire pit and grill along with a large backyard space!

The Historic District:
This house is located in the stunning, City of Tuscaloosa Historic District! When staying in the historic district, you will be extremely close to Downtown Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama's Campus/Strip, as well as wonderful walking trails with an old world, comfortable feel. The trade off is that there are strictly enforced noise ordinances and rules (noise - inside after 10:30pm, visitor restrictions, & parking restrictions). It is crucial that these rules are adhered to, as the historic district is under a lot of scrutiny. It is important that our guests are respectful of full time residents who have made their full-time home in this area.

Walking distance to UofA campus, Bryant Denny Stadium, walking trails, downtown restaurants, shopping, and more!

*Check-in time is 4:00pm CST, unless prior written permission has been granted by management. Early check-ins are available upon request, pending availability. There’s a $50 charge per hour, plus tax/fees. Please note, we are unable to confirm an early check-in until 24-48 hours prior to arrival as the property is still open for booking.*

*Please be aware that upon booking, you will be required to sign the Bama Vacation Rentals forms and submit photo ID verification directly with our property management company. Please note, guests must be 25 years of age or older to book. Forms are sent through our texting system called AKIA. This will also be the primary platform used for communication.*

*There are exterior security cameras located at the front and back of the property. These devices may not be tampered with, covered, or unplugged by guests.*

*All reservations made within 2 weeks of date of arrival are subject to require in person Government Issued ID verification.*

*If your selected property offers the use of (trundle beds, upper bunks of bunk beds, roll-aways, futons, or flip sofas) these beds will not be made up in advance. Linens are provided and should be stored with these beds.*

*A maximum of two pets are allowed with a pet fee of $100 per pet, per stay, plus tax. If you have additional pets, you must receive permission in writing from management and pay additional pet fees.*

*For stays that are longer than 2 weeks, please be aware that you will be charged an additional cleaning fee. All properties are required to be cleaned and inspected every other week.*

  Perfect house close to campus to visit our son for a weekend. The kitchen has enough equipment to cook dinner at home and the living room is big enough for a group to lounge together.   This house is better referred to as a home. It comes very nicely appointed with just about everything you could possibly need from one end to the other. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to help you feed your family, the beds are comfortable, bathrooms well supplied with soft towels and other necessities, and having a separate laundry room is a nice bonus. Everything you need to provide a place for your family to truly enjoy the city of Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama is available. Our Bama B&B contact was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns we had, and maintenance was quick to remedy any issue. She even took the time to make us aware of severe weather, and where we could locate the tornado shelter if needed!
  
  Great location! An easy walk to Bryant-Denny stadium and campus one way or downtown for dinner the other. A quiet neighborhood during our time there.
  
  The only small negative we experienced, had nothing to do with the home itself. Fair warning to those that might not live near railroad tracks, or in town where dumpster trash pickup is a thing – trains come frequently, and the trash guys that empty the dumpsters on the street behind are loud. The dumpster dumping noise is only twice a week, but they do it at is 3am! Both can be a little shocking, but Tuscaloosa is a city, so it’s going to have noises everywhere. The good people at BB&B have thought to provide noise machines in each of the bedrooms for those of us unaccustomed to such things.
  
  Other reviewers have mentioned the long list of rules for the house. The rules are for those idiots that don’t know how to be respectful of others property and take care of their own messes. BB&B needs to protect their properties, and laying out the rules in detail helps them do that. Our family had no issues with any of the rules, and they were most accommodating when we made specific requests.

  Wonderful weekend stay for a UA sorority parent event. The location and proximity to campus and the Strip was amazing. The cottage was large, clean, welcoming, and had all comforts of home. Backyard was great for the dog and for drinking coffee or enjoying the firepit. The garage was a great bonus. Loved this place and would definitely stay again. RTR!
